St. Goar (Sankt Goar)- Is a little town located on the banks of the Rhein River. Notable shops in the city is the souvenir shop with the worlds largest handmade free hanging coo-coo clock and the stein shop with the worlds largest stein. The stein shop has some unique peices in it and worth visiting if you are searching for the perfect stein. The souvenir shop has the largest collection of coo-coo clocks that I have seen in the area of this town. Overall, I would have to say that this is a neat little gem of a town.
Sitting high above the Rhein River lays these extensive fortress. Even though this place is in ruins, there is lots to explore. Every turn is riddled with new passageways. I really enjoyed the freedom of not having to take a formal tour. I do feel that this ruin is unique for the reasons I have listed. There is also a reasturant and hotel on the location. The only tip I have for visiting here is bring a flashlight. You will want it!
